Ruffled Raglan Sleeve Top and Cape for Abby

Here are a few things I am working on.

I thought I would share with you. My daughter asked me to make her a cape. She loves watching Once Upon a Time with me and digs the gorgeous costumes they wear,  as do I.  So I had a very fun tie dye lace knit that I thought would have a nice drape.

I just have to soak the cape in water to get rid of the water-soluble stabilizer I used in order to do a rolled hem on the bottom of the cape.

Today I am making a t-shirt for Abby. It has multicolored hearts on it. The purple fabric is silky soft and actually has a nice sheen to it. So I decided to add ruffles to the sleeves of this Raglan pattern. I thought it may be kinda cute. What do you guys think?

The ruffles added a lot of weight so I used seam tape all around the Raglan sleeves and the front and back pieces to support it and help hold its shape.
